From the Pastor

I'm glad you found your way here to Resurrection. This is a remarkable little family of God, and I invite you to visit and test us! It really is the desire of our hearts that this will be an exciting, warm and welcoming place, where all kinds of people learn to love one another, as they experience the joyful love of God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We're not big on appearances. We don't worry about what you look like, where you're from, what color you are, or whether you wear blue jeans or a suit (I usually wear blue jeans and crazy socks under my robe). We don't care if it's a bad hair day or even if you're feeling cranky. We take people where they are, and then we turn ourselves over to God. We let Him work on us, and in us, and through us, by His Holy Spirit. He does.

Maybe that sounds a little scary, but our experience is that He cleans house, and frees us of wounds and sins that have burdened us for years, sometimes for decades - and then He works through us in wonderful, healing ministry. He touches us and gives JOY.

He works through the teaching and preaching here, through the study of the Word, through our boisterous, praise-filled worship, and through powerful healing prayer.

He also provides each of us with extraordinary gifts, riches of the Kingdom of God, for us to minister to each other and to the world around us.

The head of this church is Jesus, and the ministers are the people of Resurrection. The result of his working among us is a family of God with enormous patience, power and love, and a great desire to bring joy to God, and to know the joy of worshipping God. You'll find this in the way we minister to each other, and in how we pray so easily.

I have the privilege of serving as a pastor and teacher here, but the ministry and gifts of this church do not center on me. They center on God, and on His work here, with us. He is present here, powerfully, for our healing and growth, and you are welcome to join us and discover Him anew.

If you feel like it's been a long time since you've felt at home, since you've been a part of a loving family, come to Resurrection! Join us! You will be blessed by the Spirit of this place, and God's joyful presence among us.
