The Rev Judy Davis has been the Senior Deacon of Resurrection since 2007. She’s the author of “Pastoral Care of the Mentally Ill.” Her areas of oversight include Deacon’s Board (help for individuals and families in need), the Altar Guild, and all manner of crisis support. The Rev Heather Ann Martinez teaches confirmation classes in our Children’s Ministry, assists as needed in worship and ministry throughout the church, and is planting a church in the Crystal Lake area as one of Resurrection’s outreaches. The Rev. Daniel Park serves as Deacon at Resurrection and is currently assisting Fr Thomas Atamian with church planting efforts in Elgin, Il.
Rev Chuck Ellenbaum has been a Deacon (Priest as of May 2nd) at Resurrection since his ordination in December 2009. He is a retired Professor of Anthropology and Religious Studies at College of DuPage. He has also taught part-time at various other colleges for many years, including Wheaton College. He is also the Spiritual Director for Discipleship at St. Mark's Church in Geneva. He is available for spiritual direction, hospital calling, or whatever you need or want. Deacon Phil Gregory was born and raised on a farm in Naperville, Illinois. He was ordained to the diaconate in 2004. He has done clinical pastoral care at Edward Hospital and has a real passion for pastoral care in general. He is currently serving in ecumenical ministry through the Alpha Course. Before being called into ministry, Phil was a farrier (horse-shoer), a rodeo rider, and an electrician for 30 years.
Both men and women serve at all levels of leadership in our church, and we come from diverse ethnic and national backgrounds. We love Jesus and each other!
Worship leader, song writer and Pastor Randy Fisk is a key member of the leadership and pastoral team at Resurrection. A Vineyard-ordained pastor, he has led our worship team for many years, as well as teaching healing prayer. His book, “The Presence, Power and Heart of God” is a wonderful resource for prayer teams and believers throughout the whole church.
The Rev Tom Atamian serves as the Pastor of Refuge Fellowship, a church plant supported and overseen by Resurrection. Refuge gathers together mostly college students who want to go deeper in their fellowship with Jesus. This mission has a presence at both Judson University and Elgin Community College. Tom has also coached Varsity High School Baseball for the past sixteen years. He also leads mission trips with an emphasis on sports ministry.
