Roots 104 - How To Pray

Began Sunday, August 2, 2008 at 4:30 p.m.

(CLASS MATERIALS and TEACHING for each session click here.)

Roots? To begin living out Isaiah 61, we must be rooted firmly in the Christian faith. This class is for all current members, as well as prospective members.

What? This is the class many of you have been asking for! A 4-week series for all members, prospective members, adults seeking confirmation, discipleship, and a deeper understanding of our faith and call.

When? Four Sundays, beginning August 3, 2008, 4:30pm – 6:00pm

Where? Resurrection Anglican Church. 450 E. Roosevelt Road, 2nd floor. West Chicago, IL.

Why Participate?

If you long for a deeper walk with Jesus,

If you’d like to deepen your understanding of the faith and God’s call on our lives,

If you’d like to better understand Resurrection’s unique call,

If you’d like to better understand the history of the church,

If you’d like to spend some time with other believers and seekers,

If you want to be baptized or confirmed, or become a member of Resurrection

..then this is the class for you. This is intended for all current members, as well as prospective members.

The Details - Roots is an ongoing series of 4 week classes, with breaks in between (e.g. 4 weeks on, 3 weeks off), and will cover many topics over the course of the next year: the Bible, Jesus, prayer, evangelism, discipleship, love, worship, the sacraments, the Trinity, family living, finances, church history, theology, and more.

Classes will be taught by Pastor George Koch and others with expertise or experience on the topics covered. The teaching will include interactive presentation, discussion, video, handouts, outside assignments – perhaps even some field trips – all intended to help all of our members grow deep roots in the faith.

Membership or Confirmation - Those preparing for membership in Resurrection, or confirmation, will need to attend at least three segments (of 4 weeks each). Classes will be about 90 minutes, with a break and light hospitality.

Questions? Talk to Pastor George Koch in person, e-mail him at pastor@resurrection.org, or call him at 630-231-1775.

RSVP -To sign up, send an e-mail to Maggie Kruser at secretary@resurrection.org, or call her at 630-231-1775. (This will help us know how many materials to prepare.)
