We're not big, and we’re not big on appearances.
This is a smallish church, which keeps it warm. We like knowing each other, and we will like getting to know you! We don't worry about what you look like, where you're from, what color you are, or whether you wear blue jeans or something fancy. We don't care if it's a bad hair day or even if you're feeling cranky. We don’t believe in pretense or fake smiles or being self-righteous and judgmental. We believe in kindness.
When we say, “People matter. Things don’t.” we really mean it. That’s the vision we love and strive to fulfill. You too? Then let’s do it!
Of course, that doesn’t mean we don’t see beauty or value in the things around us. But we love God, neighbor and even enemy first. Jesus taught us this.
We try to treat people the way we want to be treated: With tenderness, affection, respect. We take the Bible seriously, but we don’t shame people with it. We take worship seriously, but we don’t get all stiff and uptight about it. We take preaching seriously, but we don’t point fingers and make you feel like worthless junk.
The heartthrob of this church is Jesus, and the ministers of this church are all the people of Resurrection. We want to be a family of God that demonstrates great patience, power and love. We have a desire to bring joy to God. We hope you see this in the way we treat each other, and in how we pray.
Come to Resurrection! Join the vision! We hope you will be blessed by the Spirit of this place, and God's joyful presence among us.
